Megalopolis Sport hard-shell backpack from Boblbee

After my blog a few weeks ago about the T-Bags touring bag I received an email saying I should check out a company called Boblbee. Boblbee was established in 1997 with their headquarters located in Torekov, southern Sweden, with product development and research carried out in Malmö, Copenhagen, Los Angeles and Hong Kong. Boblbee offers a wide range of products, but what caught my attention were their hard-shell backpacks. The Megalopolis Sport (pictured) is a tough and good looking hard-shell backpack.  The hard-shell exterior is an ABS plastic monocoque shell for impact protection and is painted with a lacquer automotive paint. It has a water resistant lid, external strapping system with 6 fastening points, waist belt, sternum strap and cell phone pocket. The interior has large mesh pockets for bike tools, along with a pocket divider that can be removed. With the divider inserted, there’s a pocket for your laptop that will fit a maximum laptop size of 14”x10”x2”.  This Sport model is designed to handle all Boblbee’s Megalopolis product line accessories to customize for biking, skiing or expanded packing capacity. The Meg Sport is 22”x12”x6” in size, weighs 4 lbs, is available in red, gray, blue and orange and sells for around $160.  It can be found in some US retail stores in CA, OR, KY, NY, a few on-line stores and several retailers around the world (check site for details).  ~ Comment on this product … Do you own one?
